A creatively critique to social and education systems

The Watermelon Vendor is going to become a father. One morning, he reads in the newspaper that a Japanese farmer invented a way to make square watermelons, but he loves his round watermelons. This brings him to tell us the story of Peter Square who, as a child living in Squareville, suffered an incredible metamorphosis.

This shortfilm, written and illustrated by Lizardo Carvajal, presents a critical reflexion on the symbolic universe of the roundness and squareness of our society as a theme specially dedicated to new parents.

Enjoy this entertaining and critical short, which also shows a tender side and fine humour.
